KID SUNDANCE

Kid Sundance is active as a DJ, digger and producer since the mid-80s and released records with the likes of Dudley Perkins a.k.a. Declaime, Phat Kat, old school legend Busy Bee, and his own Boomoperators hip-hop crew in 2001. In 2012, Kid Sundance released a future-vintage LP inspired by 70s/80s library music called ‘Kid’s Colors’ on Dutch label Fremdtunes. More recently, he released the now-sought-after ‘James Crown’ 45 in collaboration with Rucksack Records and Dutch Gems in 2020, followed by the ‘I Went For Wine’ b/w ‘Pimpin’ & Hoein’ (Pt. 1 & 2)’ 45 on the same Dutch record labels. His love for breaks and beats even led him to release a Jungle/DnB 12” last year on Concrete Castle Dubs. After The Find Magazine featured Kid Sundance’s E-mu SP-12 and Akai S900-made “S900 Guit 1” on their Jazzvolution vinyl compilation, a new record on Zenker BrothersIlian Tape finally sees a full E-mu beat project by the Dutch DJ/producer: ‘Tien Seconden,’ all-SP-1200 beats based around the sampler’s ten-second sampling time. Light one up and enjoy these golden-age NYC style jams.”
