ISS005 & ISS006 PITCHFORK REVIEW

„Spinning off club tackle and sofa stuffing into two separate divisions might seem like an unremarkable strategy, but in Skee Mask’s case, it’s productive: Taken together, the two EPs suggest an artist uninterested in lingering in his comfort zone.“

BANDCAMP DAY

„The Covid-19 pandemic continues to impact all of us, and artists have been hit especially hard as tours and shows are canceled for the foreseeable future. With such a major revenue stream drying up almost entirely, finding ways to continue supporting artists in the coming months is an urgent priority for anyone who cares about music and the artists who create it…July 3, we’re waiving our revenue share for all sales on Bandcamp, from midnight to midnight PDT. Check isitbandcampfriday.com for timezone demystification.“

Thank you Bandcamp and all of you for the support!

ZENKER BROTHERS FOLD RECORDING

„Marco and Dario Zenker founded Ilian Tape back in 2007, wrapping a double dose of determination and brilliance into the project, never once faltering despite initial adversity. Taking on roles of guiders, curators, instructors and products of the label, the duo have moved from their preliminary groundwork of minimal to eventually sinking their teeth into the miscellany of breakbeat, electro, techno, IDM and more which has become the tried and tested formula for success which they now continue to develop and refine.

Listen back to their landmark appearance at Ilian Tape’s last 24 hour takeover from when they blew the roof off FOLD with their 3 hour long set.“

EARMILK REVIEWS MAD SYSTEM

„Chi Boost“ is where the party starts. The four-to-the-floor bassline could easily fade into a run of the mill techno track, but the Zenker Brothers are masters at work when it comes to making music interesting. The pounding bass is quickly joined by nimble works of percussion and rhythms that are impossible not to dance to; if anyone’s making techno fun again, it’s these two.
